The Scud 1 area is underlain by rock of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group. Middle Jurassic tonalite of the Three Sisters Plutonic Suite and Triassic quartz diorite bodies intrude the country rock.

In an area of mafic volcanic rock, numerous copper-bearing shears (chalcopyrite) and flat lying felsic dikes occur. A 30 centimetre sample (9052) assayed 0.43 per cent copper, 8.8 grams per tonne silver and 4.53 grams per tonne gold (Figure 5, Assessment Report 21731).

See the nearby occurrence, Otis (MINFILE 104G 340), for related details of the Scud property work history, of which this showing is part of.
